President Trump’s approval rating continues to inch higher despite months of negative media attention swirling around Robert Mueller’s never-ending Russia probe, with new polls showing over half of American voters supporting the President.
According to Rasmussen’s daily presidential tracking poll, the Commander-in-Chief’s approval rating hit 51% Thursday, with 81% of Republicans approving of his job performance and 49% of likely voters disapproving.
“Eighty-one percent (81%) of Republicans like the job the president is doing; 75% of Democrats don’t. Among voters not affiliated with either major party, 47% approve; 51% disapprove,” writes the report.
The President’s stronger-than-expected polling comes after weeks of successes both at home and abroad; including meetings with the leaders of France and Germany, a diplomatic breakthrough in North Korea, and strong economic forecasts.
