OUCH: Kellyanne Conway DESTROYS Pelosi’s ‘Pathetic Crumbs’ Comment

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.16.18

Senior Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway didn’t mince words when weighing-in on the unprecedented economic growth seen under the first year of President Trump’s administration; blasting Nancy Pelosi’s “crumbs” comment and calling increased wages “real bread” for American workers.

Conway was discussing Speaker of the House Paul Ryan’s recent tweet touting the impact of the recent GOP tax cuts, saying “To date, more than 2.6 million employees from a growing list of 160 companies are due extra pay and increased benefits, directly as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act.”

The senior advisor thanked Ryan for his remarks, swiping Pelosi’s insistence that increased wages and big bonuses were “pathetic crumbs” given to American families; adding that American workers “deserve the respect and the reward.”

“This is real bread. (Not crumbs @NancyPelosi). Workers deserve the respect and reward. Thank you @POTUS and other bold leaders. https://twitter.com/speakerryan/status/953248898017046529 …,” she tweeted.

OUCH: Paul Ryan UNLOADS on 'SAD' Nancy Pelosi Over ‘Crumbs’ Comment

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan didn’t mince words when addressing House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s assertions that the GOP tax cuts aren’t helping American workers, saying increased wages and $1000 bonuses “aren’t crumbs” to average families.

“As you know, leader Pelosi’s calling all of this ‘crumbs,’” a reporter from C-SPAN pressed the GOP leader.

“I was sad and surprised she said that. To somebody working at Walmart at the starting wage who just went from $9 an hour to $11 an hour, that’s not crumbs. To a person working paycheck to paycheck who just got a $1000 bonus, that’s not crumbs,” said Ryan.

“Comcast –just one company- is investing $50 billion in America, in jobs, in expanding across the country, this isn’t crumbs. The additional maternity leave at Walmart, the higher 401(k) plans… these aren’t crumbs,” he added.

“More than half of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. When they get something like a $1000 bonus at Christmas time because of this tax cut, it’s hardly crumbs,” said the Speaker of the House.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH NANCY? Pelosi Stutters, Calls Tax Cuts ‘CRUMBS’

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.11.18

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi refused to accept the reality that the GOP tax cuts are providing relief for millions of working class families on Thursday, telling reporters that the increased wages and bonuses were mere “crumbs” from the wealthiest Americans.

“A number of companies are attributing the tax bill for being able to give higher wages to their employees as well as give a number of bonuses to their employees. How do you respond to that?” asked one reporter during Pelosi’s weekly press conference.

“One of the bonuses was already in a union contract, and then they added a little more money to that. That same firm just told their employees that they’re going to be laying off 1500 people,” said the former Speaker of the House.

“In terms of the bonus that corporate America received versus the crumbs that they are giving to workers to kind of put the schmooze on is so pathetic, it’s so pathetic,” she added. “I would hope that with their big advantage of bringing money home at a very low rate, that they would invest in infrastructure. My experience has been that they will do stock buy-backs and things like that.”

Pelosi’s comments come as major American corporations announced higher wages and increased bonuses as a direct result of the GOP-led tax cuts. American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Walmart, AT&T, Boeing, and other US-based companies all raised employee benefits and salaries after President Trump signed the legislation into law.
