Liberal congressional candidates from the state of Arizona have had enough of Nancy Pelosi’s leadership in the run-up to the 2018 midterm elections; refusing to endorse the House Minority Leader during a recent convention of possible contenders.
The left-wing hopefuls were speaking at an event for America Rising PAC this week, with the handful of candidates running for the state’s second Congressional district answering questions from the moderator and audience.
“Now it is time for a lightning round,” said the host. “Will you support Nancy Pelosi for Speaker of the House?”
None of those in attendance showed their support for the embattled Democratic leader, remaining silent as the crowd looked on in shock.
Pelosi’s troubles gained national headlines last week after recent polling showed the GOP and President Trump erased previous Democratic gains following the ‘Schumer Shutdown’ and the widely popular Republican-sponsored tax cuts.
The former Speaker of the House has been under fire for months over her refusal to acknowledge the successes generated by the tax cuts, repeatedly calling higher wages and big bonuses “pathetic crumbs” to American workers.
