PELOSI'S PROTEST: Nancy Slams Use of Term 'Illegal Aliens,' Prefers ‘Newcomers’

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.14.18

Former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi blasted GOP legislators who regularly use the term “illegal alien” when describing undocumented individuals who enter the country, opting instead to use the term “newcomers” when describing migrants.

Pelosi was speaking at her daily briefing when she was asked to comment on her Democratic plan to help American workers, with one reporter saying “illegal aliens” may suppress wages for US citizens.

“That’s not the point. Using terminology like ‘illegal aliens illegally entering the country’ is just not viewed as constructive,” Pelosi said.

“The fact is that we must protect our borders, that is our responsibility. We also must protect our values, that is our responsibility as well,” she added. “We need to recognize that newcomers to our country is part of the constant reinvigoration of America.”

THE PELOSI PROBLEM: Dems Say 'No Way in Hell' We Win in 2018 with Nancy

posted by Hannity Staff - 8.20.17

Liberal Representative Filemon Vela is renewing calls for a change in democratic leadership, saying the party doesn’t stand a chance of retaking the house in 2018 with Nancy Pelosi at the helm and calling the California Congresswoman a “drag on our candidates.”

The democratic lawmaker was speaking with Buzzfeed when he lashed-out at Pelosi, adding there “was no way in hell” the party could seize control of the GOP-led House if Nancy stays in charge.

“When we go to 2018, if we’re going to win the majority, Democrats have to win swing districts, which means winning independent voters, swing voters, and even Republican moderates,” Vela told Buzzfeed. “The problem is that in that demographic […] it is real clear that the drag on our candidates is Nancy Pelosi.”

“If you have an obvious obstacle, why not remove it?” he added, saying there was “no way in hell” Democrats can succeed without a change at the top.

Vela isn’t the only democrat calling for Pelosi to step-aside. A string of special election defeats have led many prominent liberal lawmakers to clamor for a change of leadership.

Pelosi, so far, has refused to budge from her position, saying she has no intention of stepping down. When asked if she should resign from her post following the stinging loss in the Georgia special election, Nancy said she’s “worth the trouble.”

“I think I’m worth the trouble, quite frankly. I love the fray. I’m not— I’m not disrespectful of people’s views. I respect any positive things that people want to say, or even negative, as — as long as it’s constructive,” said Pelosi.

NEGATIVE NANCY: Pelosi DISMISSES Strong Economic Reports

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.08.18

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi doubled-down on her predictions of “death and destruction” following the GOP-sponsored tax cuts Thursday, saying low unemployment and higher wages are not good indicators of a healthy economy.

Pelosi was speaking with reporters during her weekly press briefing when she dismissed the strong economic data, saying “this isn’t about the unemployment rate, it’s about wages rising in our country.”

“People say, ‘Oh my goodness, … people are saying the unemployment rate is down, why isn’t my purchasing power increasing?” Pelosi said. “So, this isn’t just about the unemployment rate, it’s about wages rising in our country, so that consumer confidence is restored.”
