PUTIN'S WARNING: Russia Accuses Trump of ‘GRAVE MISTAKE’ After Booting 60 Diplomats

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.27.18

Russia’s ambassador to the United States slammed the Trump administration’s recent expulsion of 60 Kremlin diplomats earlier Monday; saying the White House made a “grave mistake” by ejecting the foreign agents and shuttering its consulate in Seattle.

According to the New York Post, Russian Ambassador Anatoly Antonov called the move a “very bad step,” adding the United States “will understand what kind of grave mistake they did and I hope that maybe in the future our relations will be restored.”

Amb. Antonov warned the Trump administration of an “adequate response” in the coming days.

The war of words between the US and Russia escalated this week after the United States sided with its European allies and blamed Moscow on the recent nerve agent attack targeting a former spy on British soil; the first since attack since the end of World War II.

The expulsion of the Russian diplomats comes as the UK deports at least 23 foreign-agents as the fallout between the NATO allies and the Kremlin continues.

RUSSIAN ROULETTE: Putin to EXPEL UK Diplomats After British POISON PLOT

The Russian government fired-back at the United Kingdom following the expulsion of 23 Kremlin diplomats from the UK; announcing their decision to remove British officials from Russia as tensions between the two nations reach their highest levels since the Cold War.

According to Reuters, Putin plans to announce his decision after British Prime Minister Theresa May formally accused the Kremlin of the illegal assassination plot; using banned nerve agents to murder a former spy in a quiet English town.

It was the first known use of chemical weapons in Europe since the Second World War.

“Russia is set to expel British diplomats in retaliation for Prime Minister Theresa May’s decision to kick out 23 Russians as relations with London crashed to a post-Cold War low over an attack involving a military-grade nerve agent on English soil,” writes Reuters.

Putin’s announcement comes hours after leaders of the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Germany slammed the Russian government for its role behind the illegal assassination plot; labeling the attack “abhorrent” to the international community.

RUSSIAN ROULETTE: US, European Allies SLAM PUTIN Over UK Poison Plot

Leaders from the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, and France harshly condemned the Russian government in a scathing statement sent to the Kremlin Thursday; saying the NATO allies “abhor the attack” that rocked a quiet English town this week.

The heads of those nations -including President Trump- signed the joint declaration; slamming Russian President Vladimir Putin for using a deadly “nerve agent” to assassinate a former Russian spy on British soil and endangering the lives of hundreds.

“This use of a military-grade nerve agent, of a type developed by Russia, constitutes the first offensive use of a nerve agent in Europe since the Second World War,” said the letter. “It is an assault on UK sovereignty and any such use by a State party is a clear violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention and a breach of international law. It threatens the security of us all.”

“We share the UK assessment that there is no plausible alternative explanation, and note that Russia’s failure to address the legitimate request by the UK government further underlines its responsibility,” it adds. “We call on Russia to address all questions related to the attack in Salisbury.”

The fallout from the attack continued Wednesday when the British armed forces entered a second English village; tracking down “every molecule” of the Soviet-era nerve agent and urging local residents to “remain indoors” until authorities can determine if any health dangers persist.
