REID RAGE: Joy Says She ‘DOESN’T BELIEVE’ She Posted Homophobic Slurs

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.30.18

MSNBC host Joy Reid continues to come under fire over homophobic and transphobic posts that appeared on her personal blog years ago; now claiming she doesn’t “believe” she wrote the incendiary articles but understands why people don’t believe her.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the liberal anchor issued a new response just days after she claimed outside forces “hacked” her now-defunct page and published the controversial comments.

“Here’s what I know: I genuinely do not believe I wrote those hateful things,” she said on AM Joy. “But I can definitely understand, based on things I have said and have written in the past, that some people don’t believe me.”

“When a friend found them in December and sent them to me, I was stunned,” she said. “Frankly, I couldn’t imagine where they’d come from or whose voice this was. The reality is they have not been able to prove it.”

REID RAGE: Advocacy Group RESCINDS Joy's Award After Homophobic Slurs

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.25.18

A prominent LGBT advocacy group officially rescinded Joy Reid’s “allyship award” Tuesday over allegations she published homophobic slurs on her blog; just hours after the MSNBC anchor claimed the website had been “hacked.”

The left-wing host was scheduled to accept PFLAG’s Straight for Equality in Media award in the coming weeks, but had the offer rejected following multiple reports she had posted homophobic comments on her now defunct personal webpage.

“While Reid was slated to accept PFLAG’s Straight for Equality in Media award next month at the organization’s 45th anniversary celebration, the group opted to take back the offer after dozens of blog posts from The Reid Report containing anti-gay material were uncovered by an Internet sleuth,” writes Mediaite.

“PFLAG National—the nation’s first and largest organization for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) people, their families, and allies—has rescinded its Straight for Equality in Media award to political analyst Joy Reid,” said a spokesperson for the organization.

Reid offered an apology for the controversial posts last December, but now claims the articles were the work of outside forces who gained access to her blog.

REID RAGE: MSNBC Host Joy Reid Blames HOMOPHOBIC SLURS on ‘Hackers’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.23.18

MSNBC host Joy Reid deflected allegations Monday that she published homophobic slurs on her now-defunct blog, bizarrely claiming that an “external party” had gained excess to the site and attempted to “taint” her character.

“In December I learned that an unknown, external party accessed and manipulated material from my now-defunct blog, The Reid Report, to include offensive and hateful references that are fabricated and run counter to my personal beliefs and ideology,” Reid told Mediaite. “The manipulated material seems to be part of an effort to taint my character with false information by distorting a blog that ended a decade ago.”

The liberal host also confirmed that she had contacted members of law enforcement, cybersecurity experts, and the LGBT community to help determine who had “corrupted the site.”

“It’s unclear when the nefarious hackers would have hacked her site and added the controversial content, since it has been defunct for years and still is. More importantly, NBC could or would not specify exactly which posts Reid is claiming were doctored,” Mediaite’s Caleb Ecarma adds.
