RELEASE THE MEMO: Intel Committee to MEET as Pressure to Release FISA MEMO Grows

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.29.18

The House Intelligence Committee has scheduled a “business” meeting Monday evening to discuss releasing the famed FISA Memo to the general public; a possible significant step forward as GOP pressure to publish the material grows throughout Congress.

Committee Chairman Devin Nunes announced the last-minute scheduling change Monday morning, adding the panel was to convene to discuss “pending committee business and other matters,” but did not specifically say whether a vote would take place regarding the controversial memo.

The explosive document reportedly contains evidence of widespread abuse of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act -commonly referred to as FISA- to spy on American citizens, including those with close ties to President Trump.

The memo also answers questions over whether Democratic-funded intelligence was used to surveil senior Trump associates in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

Despite the Justice Department’s opposition to releasing the information, the White House has signaled its “receptiveness” to publishing the bombshell memo, saying the President is “more inclined for transparency.”

“I think the president is more inclined for transparency in this investigation,” said the White House legislative affairs director. “To the extent that the House, I think, has advocated that it’s publicly released, I think the president is receptive to that.”

HANNITY: New Evidence Shows WIDESPREAD FISA Abuse Against Trump Campaign

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.19.18

Speaking during his opening monologue on ‘Hannity’ Thursday night, Sean weighed-in on the shocking abuse of power inside the Department of Justice in the run-up to President Trump’s inauguration; saying the scale of corruption and bias is “far bigger than Watergate.”

“We’ve been telling you it’s coming, it’s now here… Classified DOJ documents that members of Congress are now reviewing, it shows widespread and extensive FISA abuses against the Trump campaign,” said Sean.

“Members of Congress were able to get their hands on all these classified documents. At the last-minute Rod Rosenstein tried to stop it by going into Paul Ryan’s office,” he added.

“It is more disturbing than we ever thought. Our sources are telling us that the abuse of power is far bigger than Watergate,” Hannity said. “What we’re talking about tonight is the systematic abuse of power, the weaponizing of those powerful tools of intelligence, and the shredding of our Fourth Amendment constitutional rights that protect all of us.”

“What we’re talking about tonight is the abuse of the powerful tools of intelligence that we use to spy on people, except those tools were used against an opposition candidate and a president-elect and his entire time,” he added.

“Not only was it done under false pretenses, but with the help of Hillary Clinton. She bought and paid for the dossier, and that dossier was corroborated by a longtime Clinton ally,” said Sean.

RELEASE THE MEMO: DOJ Seeks to BLOCK CONGRESS from Releasing FISA Bombshell

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.25.18

The Department of Justice is seeking to block Congressional leaders from publicly releasing a bombshell memo outlining widespread FISA abuse at the DOJ; telling the House Intelligence Committee it would be “extraordinarily reckless” to publish the documents.

Justice Department officials sent the strongly-worded letter to House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes Wednesday, instructing the GOP Representative to seek approval from both the DOJ and the FBI before releasing the explosive material to members of Congress; claiming the move would be detrimental to “national security.”

The bombshell memo reportedly details widespread abuse of the FISA courts to deploy the nation’s top-secret surveillance tools on American citizens; possibly including President Trump and his senior aides in the run-up to the 2016 general election and his inauguration.

The scathing letter from the DOJ denies any abuse of FISA courts or other surveillance systems by the Department of Justice or the FBI.

“As you know, we have provided [the House Intelligence Committee] with more than 1,000 pages of classified documents relating to the FBI’s relationship, if any, with a source and its reliance, if any, on information provided by that source.”

GOP legislators who have seen the memo describe its contents as “jaw-dropping” and claim the report may shed new light on the level of anti-Trump bias at the Department of Justice.
