A new bombshell lawsuit from a pro-Trump political group claims Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign colluded with the Democratic National Committee to launder upwards of $84 million in funds to skirt federal donation limits.
According to Fox News, the Committee to Defend the President filed an official complaint with the Federal Election Commission; claiming the Hillary Victory Fund “solicited cash” from high-powered donors and illegally “funneled” those funds through state chapters and then back to the DNC.
“The Clinton machine has escaped accountability for its illegal practices for far too long,” Ted Harvey, CDP chairman, told Fox News. “After months of review, the FEC has refused to address the Clintons’ $84 million money laundering scheme that violated several campaign finance laws.”
“A copy of the suit obtained by Fox News urges the court to exercise its statutory authority under the Federal Election Campaign Act and take action against what they say is an unprecedented scheme to circumvent federal campaign finance law,” writes Fox.
