REPORT: Congress INVESTIGATES FBI Leakers After DOJ Texting Scandal

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.09.18

Several congressional committees are investigating whether employees of the FBI and Department of Justice leaked information to several media outlets, after text messages between senior FBI officials revealed they may have communicated with reporters. The committees are seeking specific information about employees who may have provided information to the media used in stories targeting Trump campaign officials and revealed information about the counterintelligence investigation into Russia’s meddling in the U.S. 2016 presidential election.

The House Intelligence Committee and Senate Judiciary Committee are sifting through the first batch of 375 text messages between demoted FBI Agent Peter Strzok and his FBI colleague and mistress FBI lawyer Lisa Page. Those text messages released by the Justice Department last month to Congress and a select media are only a small portion of the remaining 9,500 text messages between the pair that have yet to be made public.

“We have the commitment from DOJ to get all the text messages,” said a congressional official with the House Intelligence Committee, who said the committee is actively investigating any unauthorized alleged leaks to the media.

“But at this time, we don’t have anything beyond the initial batch that they gave us and were already shown to the press,” the official added.

DOJ Searching Trove of Texts from Anti-Trump Agent

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.08.17

The Department of Justice is rummaging through “over 10,000 texts” between the FBI agent recently demoted from Robert Mueller’s investigation for his “anti-Trump bias” and his counterparts at the special counsel’s office.

DOJ officials tell Fox News they’re currently sifting through 10,000 text exchanges to determine the extent of Strzok’s bias, and whether his personal opinions of President Trump impacted his ability to impartially conduct his investigation.

Peter Strzok was secretly re-assigned to the FBI’s Human Resources Department earlier this year after Robert Mueller was informed of his Trump-hating text exchanges with other investigators.

The revelation of anti-Trump operatives inside the special counsel’s office prompted an immediate response from GOP leaders and officials; questioning Mueller’s ability to properly investigate allegations of Russian-Trump collusion throughout the 2016 presidential race.

They’re not the only ones.

The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board published a scathing op-ed piece on Thursday, citing the text exchanges and other mistakes as irreparably damaging the special counsel’s office and demanding Mueller’s immediate resignation from the investigation.

BIAS ALERT: Mueller's No. 2 SECRETLY SLAMMED Trump's Travel Ban

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.15.17

A senior-level prosecutor now serving as a Deputy to special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia-Trump investigation found himself in hot-water on Tuesday, following reports he praised acting Attorney General Sally Yates after she publicly defied President Trump’s travel ban last January, reports Fox News.

The correspondence, obtained by government watch-dog agency Judicial Watch, shows that Andrew Weissmann emailed Yates in late January with the subject line, “I am so proud.”

“And in awe. Thank you so much. All my deepest respects,” the email continued.

Sally Yates was publicly fired by President Trump after she refused to enforce his executive order regarding immigration and refugees from specific countries around the world.

The news follows another revelation that a senior investigator inside the special counsel’s office was demoted earlier this year for his “anti-Trump bias;” being relocated to the Human Resources Department at the FBI after his “unprofessional” text exchanges were reviewed by Mueller’s team.

“Andrew Weisman, a key prosecutor on Robert Mueller’s team, praised Obama DOJ holdover Sally Yates after she lawlessly thwarted President Trump,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton.

“How much more evidence do we need that the Mueller operation has been irredeemably compromised by anti-Trump partisans?” he asked.
