ROSENSTEIN: I ‘Won’t Be EXTORTED’ By Impeachment Threats

posted by Hannity Staff - 5.02.18

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein pushed back against GOP lawmakers’ threat of impeachment Tuesday, saying the Department of Justice won’t be “extorted” by Congress or anyone else.

Rosenstein fired-back at conservative legislators after the House Freedom Caucus drafted specific “articles of impeachment” to remove the DOJ official after he allegedly “stonewalled” multiple Congressional investigations.

“The Department of Justice is not going to be extorted,” said the Deputy Attorney General. “Any kind of threats that anybody makes are not going to affect the way we do our job.”

“We’re going to do what’s required by the rule of law,” he added.

Rep. Meadows and other GOP members drafter the legislation as a “last resort” should the Justice Department continue to stall probes into Hillary Clinton’s botched email investigation, Russian election interference, and anti-Trump bias throughout the DOJ and FBI.

DOJ DISASTER: GOP Rep. Says SESSIONS, ROSENSTEIN ‘In Contempt’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.11.18

Rep. Mark Meadows believes Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein “should be held in contempt” over their efforts to stonewall the House Intelligence Committee’s Russia probe.

The GOP legislator was speaking with reporters Wednesday when he was asked to weigh-in on the President’s rocky relationship with Rosenstein, adding, “It’s members of Congress who have a bigger problem with Rod Rosenstein.”

“He is not giving us the documents, and he is not doing his job… If he is not going to do the job, he needs to go and find one that he will do, and so the frustration with the AG and the deputy AG is probably more of a focus of Congress, and it probably makes the president’s dissatisfaction pale in comparison,” said Meadows.

“They have not complied with the subpoena. They should be held in contempt if they can’t get it right,” he added.

GRASSLEY UNCHAINED: Chuck Grassley FIRES OFF FURIOUS Letter to Rod Rosenstein

posted by Hannity Staff - 12.14.17

Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley released a fiery letter aimed at Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein Wednesday, demanding answers over allegations of widespread abuse and anti-Trump bias throughout the Department of Justice.

Grassley’s letter cited numerous examples of recent scandals surrounding Robert Mueller’s botched probe into allegations of Russian-Trump collusion throughout the 2016 campaign; slamming reports that senior FBI agents exchanged Trump-bashing text messages during the investigation.

“Some of these texts appear to go beyond merely expressing a private political opinion, and appear to cross the line into taking some official action to create an ‘insurance policy’ against a Trump presidency,” he writes.

“Any improper political influence or motives in the course of any FBI investigation must be brought to light and fully addressed,” he adds. “What steps have you taken to determine whether Mr. Strzok, Mr. Page, and Mr. McCabe should face disciplinary action for their conduct?”

The chorus of GOP legislators calling for Robert Mueller’s removal grew this week, after bombshell reports revealed rampant anti-Trump behavior throughout the special counsel’s office.
