President Trump confirmed Thursday his intentions to go ahead with a second meeting with Vladimir Putin, saying his Helsinki Summit was a “great success” and he “looks forward” to meeting the Russian President again.
The President revealed his plans on social media earlier Thursday, blasting the “fake news media” for their hysterical coverage of his highly-anticipated negotiation in the Finnish capital; adding “The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media.”
“The Summit with Russia was a great success, except with the real enemy of the people, the Fake News Media. I look forward to our second meeting so that we can start implementing some of the many things discussed, including stopping terrorism, security for Israel, nuclear proliferation, cyber attacks, trade, Ukraine, Middle East peace, North Korea and more. There are many answers, some easy and some hard, to these problems…but they can ALL be solved!” tweeted Trump.
The President’s comments come just days after his high-stakes meeting with the Russian president in Helsinki, where both leaders discussed a host of issues including terrorism, cooperation in Syria, and Iran.
