RUSSIAN ROULETTE: Putin WARNS Trump of ‘GRAVE' Consequences in Syria

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.10.18

The Russian government warned the United States of ‘grave consequences’ should the US attack Syria in retaliation for a chemical weapons attack Monday; adding the Kremlin would be forced to respond to any aggression in the region.

Russian Ambassador to the United Nations Vassily Nebenzia issued the threat at a UN meeting this week, again claiming “there was no chemical weapons attack” near the Syrian capital of Damascus.

“Through the relevant channels we already conveyed to the U.S. that armed force under mendacious pretext against Syria – where, at the request of the legitimate government of a country, Russian troops have been deployed – could lead to grave repercussions,” he added.

“History will record this as the moment when the Security Council either discharged its duty or demonstrated its utter and complete failure to protect the people of Syria,” said US Ambassador Nikki Haley. “Either way, the United States will respond.”

The threat comes as President Trump cancels a visit to South America in order to “oversee” the American response.

CRISIS IN SYRIA: Trump Cancels Trip to ‘OVERSEE’ America’s ‘Response’

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.10.18

President Trump canceled a highly-anticipated trip to South America Tuesday; remaining in Washington, DC to oversee his administration’s “response” to Saturday’s deadly chemical weapons attack near the Syrian capital.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders released a statement announcing the Commander-in-Chief’s decision to cancel the visit; saying Trump “will not attend” the 8th annual Summit of the Americas in Peru.

Vice President Pence will attend the conference to represent the US at the international summit.

The President met with his top advisors Monday evening to weigh military options against Bashar al-Assad’s brutal regime; saying the Syrian government will pay a “big price” for the illegal chemical attack that killed over 60 civilians.

“We are studying that situation extremely closely.  We are meeting with our military and everybody else, and we’ll be making some major decisions over the next 24 to 48 hours,” Trump told reporters Monday evening.

“We are very concerned when a thing like that can happen.  This is about humanity.  We’re talking about humanity.  And it can’t be allowed to happen,” he added.

SYRIA SHOWDOWN: Russia Blames AIR ATTACK on Israel, Trump SLAMS ‘Animal Assad'

posted by Hannity Staff - 4.09.18

The regional tensions simmering under the surface of the Syrian civil war dramatically escalated over the weekend, with Russian officials blaming a deadly missile attack on Israel while President Trump slammed the ‘Animal Assad’ over a recent chemical attack.

The Russian government officially accused Israel of launching a missile attack on a Syrian Air Base Sunday; possibly in retaliation for dictator Bashar al-Assad’s suspected chemical attack that killed at least 60 civilians in the suburbs outside the capital.

President Trump blasted the dictator on social media within hours of the attack, saying “Many dead, including women and children, in mindless CHEMICAL attack in Syria. Area of atrocity is in lockdown and encircled by Syrian Army, making it completely inaccessible to outside world. President Putin, Russia and Iran are responsible for backing Animal Assad. Big price…”

The reportedly missiles struck an airbase near Damascus, killing at least 14 individuals including Iranian nationals. No country has claimed responsibility for the attack.

American officials denied any involvement in the air strikes, with a Pentagon spokesperson adding, “We continue to closely watch the situation and support the ongoing diplomatic efforts to hold those who use chemical weapons, in Syria and otherwise, accountable.”
