SANCTUARY STRUGGLE: Los Angeles CRIPPLED with Over 60,000 HOMELESS

posted by Hannity Staff - 3.01.18

Major California municipalities continue to struggle under the state’s ‘Sanctuary City’ laws and decades of failed liberal policies; with the nation’s second largest metropolis scrambling to cope with a homeless population of nearly 60,000 people.

The Los Angeles Times published an explosive article Thursday morning, titled “How can a city with 58,000 homeless people continue to function?” The piece raises serious questions over the future of their city and law enforcement’s total inability to cope with the rising crime, drug use, and illegal immigration.

Homelessness in Los Angeles has risen nearly 50% since 2013 and has sparked public safety concerns throughout the state, with officials declaring a “state of emergency” following a Hepatitis outbreak in 2017.

“There’s an unavoidable, often unspoken, fear that the city around us may be in a state of irreversible decline, and a suspicion on the part of some that the rights of homeless people have trumped the rights of everyone else,” writes the Times.

The article comes on the heels of nearby Orange County’s decision to remove a two-mile stretch of tent city earlier this month, citing public safety concerns and refusing to follow the rest of the state into all-out chaos.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Local Community FIGHTS BACK Against ‘Sanctuary’ TENT CITY

Local residents in southern California are fighting back against a two-mile long stretch of makeshift homeless shelters in Orange County; demanding officials crackdown on “human waste” and “used needles” that riddle the encampment, reports Fox News.

In stark contrast from local governments in Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Orange County authorities are beginning to clamp down on the tent city, describing the “illegal” housing as a major public health concern.

“It’s becoming part of the permanent landscape in those communities and there is no way we are going to allow Orange County land that is supposed to be used by residents to be occupied by the homeless,” said a member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors.

In response to public pressure, the county council cleared nearly 25 tons of trash, over 1,000 pounds of “human waste” and over 5,000 needles from the camp.

The ACLU and other human rights activists have denounced the move, filing a civil rights lawsuit to stop the county’s crackdown after the decision was officially approved by the council.

‘That isn’t going to happen in our county. It’s not going to be our skid row,” added the Orange County supervisor.

CALIFORNIA CHAOS: Trump Threatens to REMOVE ICE AGENTS Throughout the State

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.22.18

President Trump called-out the state of California and its “disgraceful” sanctuary cities Thursday over their refusal to cooperate with the federal government in reducing illegal immigration; threatening to remove ICE agents throughout the state if they continue to shelter undocumented workers from the agency.

President Trump and his administration have focused on deporting MS-13 gang members throughout the country -and specifically in California- as a major national security priority; telling reporters at the White House he’s received “no help” from the state.

“If I wanted to pull my people out of California you would see a crime-nest like you’ve never seen before,” Trump warned. “All I have to do is say, ‘ICE and Border Patrol, leave California alone.’ You would see crime like nobody has seen crime in this country. I could do it.”

The Commander-in-Chief predicted that California and local governments would be “begging” for him to reinstate the agency; citing record spikes in crime, drug use, and homelessness after the state declared itself a “sanctuary” for illegal aliens.
