White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders slammed ABC boss Bob Iger over the network’s “double-standard” regarding Roseanne Barr Wednesday; scorching the executive for failing to apologize to the White House after multiple “rants” against the President.
Sanders was speaking with reporters during her daily press briefing when she was asked to weigh-in on the President’s tweet; demanding an apology after he was attacked by multiple network hosts such as Joy Behar.
“Where was Bob Iger’s apology to the White House staff for Jemele Hill calling the president and anyone associated with him a white supremacist? To Christians around the world for Joy Behar calling Christianity a mental illness? Where was the apology for Kathy Griffin going on a profane rant against the president on ‘The View’ after a photo showed her holding President Trump’s decapitated head?” asked Sanders.

ROSEANNE BARRED: ABC Cancels ‘Roseanne’ Over ‘Repugnant’ Tweets
Hit sitcom ‘Roseanne’ was abruptly canceled by ABC Tuesday just hours after the iconic comedian posted “racist” and “abhorrent” tweets about Chelsea Clinton and former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett; with network executives saying the comments were “inconsistent” with their values.
“Roseanne’s Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show,” said ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey.
The news comes just hours after the comic lashed out at George Soros, Chelsea Clinton, Valerie Jarrett, and made a series of comments regarding conspiracy theories surrounding the CIA and other agencies.
Barr apologized to the senior Obama official earlier Tuesday, saying “I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me — my joke was in bad taste.”

“Roseanne’s recent comments about Valerie Jarrett, and so much more, are abhorrent and do not reflect the beliefs of our cast and crew or anyone associated with our show. I am disappointed in her actions to say the least,” said Barr’s co-star Sara Gilbert.

President Trump weighed-in on the recent firing of ABC star Roseanne Barr Wednesday, saying the network owes him an apology for the “horrible statements” made about the Commander-in-Chief by multiple hosts.
Trump called-out network head Bob Iger after he reportedly apologized to former Obama aide Valerie Jarrett over Roseanne’s tweets, saying he “never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize.”
“Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that ‘ABC does not tolerate comments like those’ made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn’t get the call?” tweeted the President.
