SCHUMER’S SPIN: Sen. Schumer Calls Trump Address 'WARM-UP ACT' for Stacey Abrams

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.05.19

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer slammed President Trump’s annual State of the Union address hours before the Commander-in-Chief’s speech Tuesday; saying “few have done it so cheaply and indifferently.”

“Every president uses the State of the Union to set goals, but few have done it so cheaply and indifferently. Many of the promises from President’s last were discarded mere weeks after they were made,” posted Schumer on social media.

The President will deliver his annual State of the Union address at 9PM. Watch the speech live on HANNITY.COM.

STACEY ABRAMS: I ‘Wouldn’t Oppose’ Allowing Non-Citizens, 16-Year-Olds Right to Vote

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.14.19

Failed Georgia gubernatorial Candidate Stacey Abrams raised eyebrows throughout the state over the weekend; saying she “wouldn’t oppose” non-citizens voting in local elections and would potentially expand the right to 16-year-old students.

Abrams was speaking with ‘Firing Line’ host Margaret Hoover when she was asked to comment on the growing trend of municipalities allowing undocumented residents the right to vote in citywide elections.

“In some cases, you would be supportive of non-citizens voting?” asked Hoover.

“I wouldn’t oppose it. I actually think there are some cases where 16-year-olds should be allowed to cast their vote and cast their ballot. I think school board elections, where kids actually got to speak to the decisions made by the school board members… I think there’s a legitimate argument for having that conversation,” said Abrams.

ABRAMS CLAIM: Stacey Abrams Says She Was Nearly Blocked from Voting in Georgia Election

posted by Hannity Staff - 11.21.18

Democratic candidate in Georgia’s gubernatorial race Stacey Abrams claimed she was nearly blocked from voting this week; doubling-down on her previous comments that “voter suppression” led to an “unfair” midterm election.

Abrams was speaking with NPR when she stated an Election Day staffer attempted to stop her from casting her ballot; saying “The day I voted, I had to correct the poll worker who said I had filed for an absentee ballot.”

“I did it quietly. I didn’t turn it into a major conversation because, for me, it was about getting through the process,” she added. “But it was also emblematic to me of the privilege that I have.”

“I know the law … There are thousands, millions in Georgia who do not know what their rights are and therefore do not know that they shouldn’t have to wait in four-hour lines in the rain with their children. They shouldn’t have to worry about whether they will lose their jobs in order to exercise their democratic right to vote for their leader,” said Abrams
