Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer had a very late night Tuesday, with hundreds of demonstrators gathering at the Democrat’s New York City apartment to protest his shutdown-surrender over immigration reform.
The liberal protesters marched on Schumer’s Brooklyn residence just hours after the federal government re-opened without any firm commitment to deal with DACA; enraging left-wing activists who demanded a “clean bill” on the Obama-era policy that permits illegal immigrants who were brought to the US as children to avoid deportation.
Demonstrators gathered just beneath the leading Democrat’s bedroom window, chanting “You let them dream, we let you sleep” and “Clean DREAM Act Now!”
Footage of the massive protests appeared on social media within minutes, with users posting scenes from the rally, as well as speeches, signs, and new demands that the Senate Minority Leader shut down the government again if Congressional lawmakers are unable to reach an agreement on DACA.
