4:05 PM ET – Gregg Jarrett, Fox News Legal Analyst and author of the upcoming release, The Russian Hoax, The Illicit Scheme to Clear Hillary Clinton and Frame Donald Trump (available for presale on Amazon) joins Sean on his first day back. Sara Carter, Fox News Contributor and Investigative Reporter, joins as well. Sara and Gregg will discuss what we can expect to come of the closed door hearing with Lisa Page tomorrow, and her partner in crime’s testimony on Thursday. Will we begin to see the tides change and shift as people are held responsible for their role in the phone Russia scandal?

Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page is expected to appear at a closed-door deposition in front of the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on Wednesday, just one day before former bureau colleague and lover Peter Strzok is set to testify publicly about the start of the Russia investigation.

Page is expected to face a grilling in the joint interview. For months, the attorney has been caught in the crosshairs of investigation into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates in the 2016 presidential election, amid revelations that she and Strzok exchanged hundreds of politically charged, anti-Trump text messages. Page served in the FBI’s office of general counsel, and also served on a brief detail in 2017 on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team. Page resigned from the FBI this past May. (h/t Fox News)

4:30 PM ET – Alan Dershowitz is here to talk about his new book, out today, The Case Against Impeaching Trump, is making waves among his liberal friends. Dershowitz has aligned himself with the law and not his politics, and the democratic circle is none too happy.

On June 7, 2018 President Trump and Alan Dershowitz exchanged tweets regarding the Special Counsel:

@realDonaldTrump (9:05 a.m.)

Alan Dershowitz, Harvard Law Professor: “It all proves that we never needed a Special Counsel…All of this could have been done by the Justice Dept. Don’t need a multi-million dollar group of people with a target on someone’s back. Not the way Justice should operate.” So true!

@AlanDersh (10:48 a.m.)

I appreciate @realDonaldTrump agreeing with my position on special counsel. To be consistent, he should withdraw his demand for a special counsel to investigate Clinton. If he thinks special counsel is unconstitutional, it is as unconstitutional for her as for him.

The Case Against Impeaching Trump seeks to reorient the debate over impeachment to the same standard that Dershowitz has continued to uphold for decades: the law of the United States of America, as established by the Constitution. In the author’s own words:

“In the fervor to impeach President Trump, his political enemies have ignored the text of the Constitution. As a civil libertarian who voted against Trump, I remind those who would impeach him not to run roughshod over a document that has protected us all for two and a quarter centuries. In this case against impeachment, I make arguments similar to those I made against the impeachment of President Bill Clinton (and that I would be making had Hillary Clinton been elected and Republicans were seeking to impeach her). Impeachment and removal of a president are not entirely political decisions by Congress. Every member takes an oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution sets out specific substantive criteria that MUST be met.

5:05 PM ET – Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, author of Trump’s America: The Truth about Our Nation’s Great Comeback, his latest NY Times bestseller, was in the room for the nomination of Judge Kavanaugh last night and is here to comment on his speech and the mood of the attendees. From the White House:

“A judge’s job is to interpret the law, not to make the law or make policy,” writes Judge Brett Kavanaugh, President Trump’s nominee to succeed Justice Anthony Kennedy on the Supreme Court. “Don’t make up new constitutional rights that are not in the text of the Constitution. Don’t shy away from enforcing constitutional rights that are in the text.”

Judge Kavanaugh has served on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit since 2006, authoring more than 300 opinions—including 11 that have been affirmed by the Supreme Court. A graduate of Yale College and Yale Law School, Judge Kavanaugh has clerked on the Supreme Court and on the Third and Ninth Circuit Courts of Appeals.

“In keeping with President Reagan’s legacy, I do not ask about a nominee’s personal opinions,” President Trump said last night. “What matters is not a judge’s political views, but whether they can set aside those views to do what the law and the Constitution require. I am pleased to say that I have found, without doubt, such a person.”

5:30 PM ET – Colonel Oliver North, now the President of the NRA, is here to comment on the state department and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s recent trip to North Korea. The critics are all too ready to call President Trump’s summit a failure. North will also comment on the President’s trip to Europe this week, and summit with Putin in Finland on Monday.

President Trump said on Twitter today he has “confidence that Kim Jong-un will honor the contract we signed” for the “denuclearization of North Korea.” But in fact, Pyongyang has offered only a series of gradual, reciprocal steps unlikely to lead to full disarmament.

The details: After the Trump–Kim summit in Singapore and two Pyongyang visits by Secretary of State Pompeo, there is still little momentum to dismantle the nuclear program. North Korea has not agreed to stop nuclear and missile developments; open satellite imagery shows it is expanding its capacity to produce plutonium and uranium and to deploy a larger missile force; and the missile test site it offered to dismantle stands intact.
