4:05 PM ET – Newt Gingrich, the author of the upcoming book “Trump’s America” which can be pre-ordered on Amazon, has an op-ed out on Fox News, about the economic reform and progress being made under President Trump. One of these is the effort to get people off government dependency. Finally, the Speaker will give us his take on the recent comments by a judge in the Paul Manafort case who points out the obvious political bias:

A federal judge on Friday harshly rebuked Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team during a hearing for ex-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort – suggesting they lied about the scope of the investigation, are seeking “unfettered power” and are more interested in bringing down the president.

“You don’t really care about Mr. Manafort,” U.S. District Judge T.S. Ellis III told Mueller’s team. “You really care about what information Mr. Manafort can give you to lead you to Mr. Trump and an impeachment, or whatever.”

Further, Ellis demanded to see the unredacted “scope memo,” a document outlining the scope of the special counsel’s Russia probe that congressional Republicans have also sought. (h/t Fox News)

5:05 PM ET – Geraldo Rivera, Fox News Contributor and author of the book The Geraldo Show and Dan Bongino, former Secret Service Agent, NRATV contributor & host of the Dan Bongino Show, debate everything from Comey’s lackluster book tour, to his flip-flopping opinions on Hillary Clinton, if we remember back on July 5, 2016, Comey widely discussed the mishandling of documents and classified information by Clinton and her team. Fast forward to the No Higher Loyalty, and suddenly Comey seems to think the former Secretary of State has a great respect for the rule of law. Lastly, Dan is at the NRA Convention today where he addressed thousands of law-abiding gun owners, along with the President.

The news media love to criticize hypocrisy – at least by conservatives – even when it doesn’t exist. This week they gleefully targeted the National Rifle Association for criticism – but as usual, they made errors in their claims. First, the media reported that the NRA has banned guns at its annual meeting in Dallas during speeches scheduled for Friday by President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence. But then the media soon acknowledged that the gun ban was the Secret Service’s decision – not the NRA’s. And following that admission of error, many in the media still derided the NRA for not pushing back on the Secret Service’s gun ban. In one of the Washington Post’s articles this week on the NRA’s “hypocrisy,” the paper asked an NRA spokeswoman whether “the NRA tried to convince the Secret Service that more guns would make Trump and Pence more secure.” The Post reports that the NRA “did not answer the questions directly.” (h/t Fox News)

5:30 PM ET – Herschel Walker, former NFL player for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants (as well as a former bobsledder, sprinter, and mixed martial artist) joins the show to discuss his advocacy work for the U.S. Military and first responders….

He recently partnered with Rocky Ridge Trucks who launched a giveaway contest that awarded a hand-painted, completely American-made 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 – worth $80,000 – to U.S. veteran, Brian Jason….visit RockyRidgeTrucks.com (they may be having another contest soon)

And he was just appointed to President Trump’s council on sports:

Bill Belichick has never hidden his affinity for Donald Trump, and now the New England Patriots coach has been appointed to Trump’s revamped Council on Sports, Fitness, and Nutrition, Axios reported Friday.

Set to be appointed to the council along with former NFL running back and College Football Hall of Famer Herschel Walker, as well as Baseball Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera, Belichick will be charged with advising a group “focused on encouraging kids to take up sports,” as Jonathan Swan reported.
