3:30 PM ET – Joe Bastardi, Weather Bell update on Hurricane Florence
4:05 PM ET – Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, author of Trump’s America: The Truth about Our Nation’s Great Comeback, his latest NY Times bestseller, is here to discuss the news of the day, from Papadopoulos to Mueller, and the lead up to the midterms. From the Speaker’s op-ed today:
For Republicans to win in the midterm elections, they must understand – and make clear to the American people – that Nov. 6 will be a big-choice election, when voters will decide between two competing alternative universes.
If Republicans maintain – or even grow – their majorities in the House and the Senate, America will be operating in a grassroots rebellion-conservative-Republican universe.
That will mean that progress on President Trump’s agenda will continue (and possibly accelerate). More conservative judges will join the federal bench. Our taxes and unemployment figures will remain low, while our jobs numbers, wages and economic growth will continue to increase.
In additions, Republican majorities in both houses will ensure that our borders will be secure, our military will be strong, and our nation will prosper through free, fair and reciprocal trade practices. (h/t Fox News)
5:05 PM ET – David Schoen, a Civil Liberties Attorney Sara Carter, Fox News Contributor and Investigative Reporter, and Gregg Jarrett, Fox News Legal Analyst and author of the Russia Hoax, will analyze the new developments surrounding the updates on the new text messages between Strzok and Page, and the media leaking.
A number of new text messages reveal that two former FBI lovers appeared to have close communication with members of the media and attempted to frame arguments about Russian interference several months before the 2016 presidential election, according to text messages obtained by SaraACarter.com. The revelations raise “serious concerns” with lawmakers, who question the pair’s motives, as well as the bureau’s investigation into alleged collusion between Russia and President Donald Trump’s campaign.
Former FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok and his paramour former FBI attorney Lisa Page exchanged text messages several months before the 2016 election that suggest the pair were writing an op-ed together and that the FBI seemingly “authorized” a Washington Post story on potential Russian interference during the November elections.
On Sept. 2, 2016, Page texts Strzok about writing an op-ed: “Got it. But we are still writing the op-ed, yes?”
Strzok replies, “Yes, ish. He said too much data would be good to identify the key pieces of data and frame it in an argument, but not to spend ‘too much time on the opening or closing.’ I told him we were too much of perfectionists to not do all of it.”
On September 5, 2016, Page sends Strzok a link to the Washington Post article titled, the U.S. investigating potential covert Russian plan to disrupt November elections.
