HISTORIC HUDDLE: US and North Korean Officials Hold EXPANDED Meetings in Singapore

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.11.18

President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have entered the second-phase of their negotiations Tuesday morning in Singapore, holding expanded meetings with top officials from both governments; including Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

Trump and Kim sat with senior aides and translators in a Singapore resort Tuesday following the two leaders’ one-on-one meeting that lasted approximately 45 minutes; setting the stage for a possible normalization of relations between the United States and North Korea.

The high-level negotiations come just hours before both leaders are set to depart from Singapore, but insiders describe Trump and Kim’s travel plans as “fluid,” meaning both teams could opt to stay longer should positive developments occur.

After a brief photo op for the international press, each team will pursue its agenda during the high-stakes meeting, with the American delegation pushing for a complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and the communist regime seeking security guarantees and large-scale US investment in the region.

THE SUMMIT: Trump and Kim IN SINGAPORE, to Meet Within Hours

President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un touched down in Singapore with their respective teams over the weekend; setting the stage for the first meeting between the two nations’ leaders in history.

Kim Jong Un arrived in the city-state via a Chinese chartered aircraft that included two “dummy” planes acting as a potential decoy for attacks, with Trump landing in Singapore aboard Air Force One.

“Kim who is known as a reasonable leader may have accepted his advisers’ recommendations to prioritize safety in aviation,” said a professor at Seoul’s University of North Korean Studies.

“In addition, the charter of a Chinese airplane may have an effect of publicizing China’s active support and cooperation to the North Korean people ahead of summit talks with the U.S,” added the expert.

Trump and Kim’s arrival in Singapore clears the final hurdles after months of back-and-forth negotiations, with the leaders expected to meet at 9am local time.

MAKING HISTORY: President Trump Meets North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un

posted by Hannity Staff - 6.11.18

President Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un made history Monday, defying decades of simmering tensions and meeting face-to-face in Singapore with the hopes of denuclearizing the Korean peninsula.

The historic summit ends months of back-and-forth, heated negotiations surrounding the peace talks, with President Trump threatening to cancel the meeting after the communist regime harshly criticized several senior cabinet members, including Vice President Mike Pence.

The leaders are expected to have a one-on-one discussion for over an hour, which will then extend into a second hour and will include each nation’s delegation, such as Secretary of State Mike Pompeo -who has already met Kim Jong Un twice.

The stakes for the summit are unprecedented as President Trump attempts to convince Kim to completely abandon his nuclear missile program, with Kim likely seeking security guarantees and large-scale investments should he normalize relations with the United States.
