THE SMOKING GUN: Sen. Grassley Says ‘BULK’ of FISA Warrant Relied on ‘TRUMP DOSSIER’

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.07.18

A scathing criminal referral from Senators Chuck Grassley and Lindsey Graham to top officials at the DOJ and FBI was released Tuesday night, saying the ‘bulk’ of FISA applications against a top Trump official relied ‘heavily’ on Christopher Steele’s phony ‘Russia Dossier.’

The Senators’ letter was sent to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in early January; demanding answers over how and why the bureau was able to use an unverified dossier in order to obtain a highly-sensitive FISA warrant against an American citizen.

New information released this week shows not only was Christopher Steele’s debunked dossier used as a basis for the FISA applications, but that the political affiliation and bias included in the document was “shielded” from court officials who review the data for approval.

“It appears that either Mr. Steele lied to the FBI or the British court, or that the classified [FBI] documents reviewed by the committee contain materially false statements,” states the letter.

“The bulk of the application consists of allegations against Page that were disclosed to the FBI by Mr. Steele and are also outlined in the Steele dossier,” it adds. “The application appears to contain no additional information corroborating the dossier allegations against Mr. Page.”

THE SMOKING GUN: FISA Memo Shows 'RUSSIA DOSSIER' Used to SURVEIL Trump Campaign

posted by Hannity Staff - 2.02.18

An explosive FISA memo de-classified by President Trump Friday morning reportedly shows the debunked ‘Trump Dossier’ was used as a cornerstone in the government’s efforts to surveil the Trump team in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election.

According to Fox News, the memo contains testimony from high-ranking officials that the ‘Trump Dossier’ served as the basis for FISA court approvals by the FBI and DOJ to spy on “at least one member” of the Trump campaign.

The memo also revealed an ongoing relationship between dossier author and former British spy Christopher Steele and Justice Department official Bruce Ohr, whose wife was employed by Fusion GPS in May of 2016.

“The memo shoes that after former British spy Christopher Steele was cut off from the FBI, he continued to pass information, as did Fusion GPS, through Justice Department Official Bruce Ohr,” writes Fox News.

“It also claims the FBI and DOJ used media reporting to lend credibility to the dossier, while the firm behind the dossier, Fusion GPS, briefed major American news outlets to include New York Times, Washington Post, CNN, New Yorker, Yahoo and Mother Jones,” the site adds.

THE SMOKING GUN: Sessions ORDERS INVESTIGATION of Missing FBI Messages

posted by Hannity Staff - 1.23.18

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced this week that the Department of Justice is launching an official investigation of the FBI’s “missing texts,” adding he’s instructed his Inspector General to get to the bottom of anti-Trump bias within the bureau.

The FBI admitted over the weekend they were unable to locate nearly five-month’s worth of anti-Trump text messages exchanged between senior agent Peter Strzok and DOJ lawyer Lisa Page, saying a technical error prevented the bureau from handing over the messages to Congressional investigators.

“We will leave no stone unturned to confirm with certainty why these text messages are not now available to be produced and will use every technology available to determine whether the missing messages are recoverable from another source,” said the Attorney General.

“I have spoken to the Inspector General and a review is already underway to ascertain what occurred and to determine if these records can be recovered in any other way,” Sessions added. “If any wrongdoing were to be found to have caused this gap, appropriate legal disciplinary action measures will be taken.”

The missing texts raise serious questions over whether the FBI and DOJ actively opposed President Trump and his administration within hours of his election, with many GOP leaders saying the evidence is cause to remove special counsel Robert Mueller from his months-long investigation.
