Potential 2020 presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren called for a “national, full-blown conversation” on reparations this week; demanding the creation of a “congressional panel of experts” to help the country “begin to heal.”
“Slavery is a stain on America & we need to address it head on. I believe it’s time to start a national, full-blown conversation about reparations. I support the bill in the House to support a congressional panel of experts so that our nation can do what’s right & begin to heal,” tweeted Warren.

“How do you respond to people who think that -regardless of the underlying facts- the way you handled the question of your Native American heritage was tone-deaf, offensive, and indicative of a lack of presidential tact?” asked one member of the audience at a town hall event in Mississippi.
“Well, you know, I grew up in Oklahoma. I learned about my family from my family… Based on that, that’s just kind of who I am, and I do the best with it,” said Warren.

Senator Elizabeth Warren delivered her first nationally televised town hall event in Mississippi Monday night; offering a series of proposals that the nation’s top economists predict will cost US taxpayers over $100 trillion.
Warren was speaking with supporters when she offered her series of solutions for the nation’s most pressing problems; promising free healthcare, universal childcare, debt-free college tuition, reparations, the Green New Deal, and more.
“Elizabeth Warren promoted some of her signature proposals at a town hall event Monday night — which, all told, could cost a combined $100 trillion, according to recent estimates,” reports Fox News.
“That’s how we build a future. And I’ll add one little piece to it and say when you take a look at the Green New Deal, understand this is about building the infrastructure for the 21st century, for a sustainable world,” Warren claimed.
“I believe it’s time to start the national, full-blown conversation about reparations,” Warren added: “ignoring the problem is not working.”
